Chernivtsi has always been a multinational, multicultural and multireligious town. The old part of the town presents the result of work of people belonging to different nationalities, with different and even opposite beliefs. It is the evidence of a great talant of Bukovinians, their tolerance and respect to each other. In 2011 the architectural ensamble of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University was announced to be the part of UNESCO heritage.
